Poetry is my religion. I believe in it like no other system of thought. A good day always contributes to the life of poetry and poets. Yes, I have published collections of poetry—Looking for Divine Transportation, The Anima of Paul Bowles and I have written an opera on Gertrude Stein facing her critics which premiered in New York City to a good review from the expert on contemporary opera and biographer of Stein's opera partner Virgil Thompson.
